About: Site
In february 2003 my best friend started a MSN-group and told me that I wanted to help her making it... That was the thing that send me onto the Internet, and I haven't got back yet. Before that, I didn't want to have more than neccesary to do with computers.
Then I made some msn-groups by myself, got stuck sometimes, but loved it the most of the time, and then I started wanting a real website, where I would be in control of everything...
The domain www.thyme-net.dk was my dad's Christmas present for the family this Christmas. The original idea was that every member of the family was supposed to make their own site, but so far I am the only one who has actually done anything, except for the butterfly pictures my dad has put on the main page...
When I had first wanted to have a website, it was because I wanted a place to put all my stuff about LOTR and Harry Potter, that was spread around in different msn-groups and in my computer. When I got the domain however, I ended up putting all my dolls on the site before I got to do anything serious.
At that time, I won a doll-contest at a very big Danish doll-site, and apart from an award, I won a link on the mainpage. Now most of my visitors were people with one common interest: dollz! I decided to concentrate a bit more on that. Since then I have won some more contests, and the thing that drives me is these links, that will make people visit my site.
Of course I'm now totally addicted to doing everything that involves dollz - also making websites in English, just to show the world what I do...
The site you look at right now, was launched August 19, 2004 (the day before I wrote this) and I must admit that I haven't slept much neither before that nor since... I've been thinking of possible designs, looking up html-codes for it, spying on other websites to see how they do, testing colors, making banner, making a new base, dressing my new base to match the design, thinking of what to do next, what to write, what to display...
If I only spent every free minute until half past one in the night making website, it would be all right, but when I go to bed I can't sleep because my brain keeps thinking of new ideas - and they don't cancel school just because of over-active brains...
I don't now if this is what I really wanted to say about my site, but it is the true story about a young and innocent girl that got totally caught up in stuff provided on the Internet =)
A thank to sites that have made this possible, in a more or less direct way:
Dullernes Univers - for letting me now what a doll is
Wayuki's Place - for inspiring me to make a only-doll site and giving me ideas for the layout
Annes side - my own, Danish, site, where I have 'borrowed' all the dollz from ;)
